What influences how you behave? At CEM we work to treat others with respect and with a generous spirit. We like to think about the idea behind the “Golden Rule.” Although many would say the Golden Rule is a Christian perspective, the sentiment is rooted in many religious traditions.

  1. “Treat others as you would yourself be treated.” — Hinduism
  2. “What you yourself hate do to no man.” — Judaism
  3. “Hurt not others with that which pains you.” — Buddhism
  4. “Do unto all men as you would wish to have done.” — Islam
  5. “Live in harmony, for we are all related.” — Native American
  6. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” — Christianity
