One of the opportunities we have for expansion is to begin offering a structured program for students in 9th and 10th grades. We are looking for volunteers to become mentors for these young people as they begin to think about what their futures might hold. We are working with local colleges to help them learn about educational opportunities. We plan to invite representatives from a variety of workplaces to meet with the young people and tell them about opportunities in their various fields.

Our food programs will be gearing up for back to school. We hope to work with a local college to set up an afternoon workshop to teach our clients and guests about food and nutrition, making great meals from a limited pantry, and encouraging healthy eating habits among our constituents.
